About ICE Spotted
An independent, community-powered civic tool helping people stay informed and stay safe.
Who We Are
ICE Spotted is a grassroots civic platform built by and for communities across the United States. We are not affiliated with any government agency, political party, or law enforcement body. We are ordinary people who believe that communities deserve real-time awareness of enforcement activity happening in their neighborhoods.
Our platform collects and maps anonymous reports of ICE sightings, checkpoints, and operations so that residents can make informed decisions about their safety and the safety of their families.
Why We Exist
Immigration enforcement operations often happen without warning — in neighborhoods, near schools, at bus stations, and on public roads. People deserve to know what is happening around them. ICE Spotted exists to close that information gap.
We believe that transparency is not opposition. Documenting and sharing publicly visible law enforcement activity is a protected right, and an informed community is a safer community.
What We Stand For
Community Safety
Everything we build is designed to help people protect themselves and their families. Awareness saves lives.
Anonymity First
We do not collect IP addresses, names, or any identifying information. Every report is anonymous. Your safety comes first.
Transparency
Public enforcement activity should be publicly visible. We document what is already happening in plain sight.
Know Your Rights
We educate communities on their constitutional rights during encounters — the right to remain silent, refuse entry, and record.
What We Do
Real-time mapping — We plot anonymous community reports on a live map so you can see ICE activity near you at a glance.
Anonymous reporting — Our tip form requires no login, no account, and no personal data. Report a sighting in seconds.
Visual identification — We publish reference images of ICE agents, tactical gear, unmarked vehicles, and common identifiers so communities can recognize enforcement activity when they see it.
Rights education — We provide clear, accessible information about your legal rights during an ICE encounter, regardless of immigration status.
Open Source
ICE Spotted is fully open source. Our code is public, our methods are transparent, and anyone can contribute. We believe civic tools should be built in the open.
Help Your Community Stay Informed
If you see something, say something — anonymously. Every report helps keep someone safe.
